The Black Lab Facts

The Black Lab comes from St John's Dog's of Newfoundland. Back labs were taken to Newfoundland by British fisherman. This was in the 1700 hundreds. Black Labs worked on icy northern waters. Back in the day some labs had longer coats and and more upright ears. Some black labs have a tiny white spot on their chest or under a paw. Black labs are the most popular color labs. This is because genetics say black labs are born yellow or chocolate. Labs have a great temperament. They are very lovable as they will never get sick of your company. Have you ever heard of The Black Dog at Martha's Vineyard? This is an example of a black lab. The store is very popular, as there is one in Faneuil Hall.
